I am currently sitting in my outside office which is actually just in a chair on my deck with my computer in my lap. Spring has finally arrived in Ontario and it feels so good to be outside. After a long winter of not really being able to do much, Baby T and I have been spending as much time as possible outside.
Her favourite thing in the world right now is birds. She loves listening to them, finding them in the trees around our house and trying to feed them. Dan invested in a bird feeder for our backyard and it’s already made Baby T so happy in the morning to look out and see them hanging around our backyard.
We are currently in day two of our third province wide lockdown but we won’t get into that; I try to stay non-political on here, completely neutral. So best to just not say anything.
One thing we did do yesterday was go for a drive to a nearby park for Baby T to play before bed, and on our way home we stopped at a local restaurant to support them and support our appetites at the same time.
We have some big plans for our home this spring including a new deck; hence why all I have is one chair to sit on, no point getting everything out and set up just to be put back away shortly. The boards on ours are really worn down and definitely won’t last all season this year so that’s a very exciting project, I’ll be sure to share some before and afters.
It’s been a bit of a roller coaster weekend for me personally; sometimes when you hold things in for so long it all bubbles over and you just don’t know what to do with it. Thankfully I have a great support system in my husband Dan, my mother and of course Baby T.
If there’s one thing I think we all need more of right now, it would be sitting outside in the sunshine and breathing in the fresh air. Normally here I would say with a glass of wine, but sometimes it’s good to mix things up and have a green smoothie instead.
